Towson Gymnastics Honored in WCGA Scholastic Awards

TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University gymnastics team was honored for its strong academic performance during the 2024-25 academic year by the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA).
 
As a team, Towson earned the 11th-highest grade point average (GPA) nationally among all NCAA gymnastics teams across the country.  The Tigers earned a 3.76 GPA for the 2024-25 academic year.
 
In addition, 20 of the team's 24 athletes were honored as WCGA Scholastic All-Americans.  To qualify, gymnasts need a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.  It is the second-straight year where 20 Towson gymnastics have earned WCGA Scholastic All-America status.
 
Athletes and the team are nominated by the team's head coach and academic advisor. 
 
In the gym in 2025, Towson was the East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) regular season champion, earning 28 victories on the year.
