Gymnastics Adds Pedicelli to 2020-21 Roster

TOWSON, Md. –The Towson University gymnastics head coach Jay Ramirez has announced the signing of another student-athlete for the 2020 season.
"We are thrilled to add Amanda to the 2020 roster and we look forward to her contributing on all four events," said Ramirez. "I think that her experience and expertise are going to add to our lineups immensely. We were so happy when she said she would become a Tiger."

Amanda Pedicelli is from Mercier, Quebec, Canada and trains at Club Equilibrix under coaches Dany Gilbert and Natalie Turner. Pedicelli placed third on floor, third on bars and second all-around in the 2019 Copa Estrella Costa Rica International FIG competition.

At the 2019 Canada Winter Games she competed in the JO10 Gold Team Event, placing eighth all-around, first on bars, and third on beam. At the 2018 Canadian Championships she won "Best Choreography" and placed second in the team event.

Also in 2018, she placed seventh on vault and eighth on floor at the Elite Gym Massilia Masters and Open Division, which was held in France. She won floor at the 2018 International Gymnix for JO10 and was the 2018 Quebec National Champion in all-around, bars, and floor. She was the Quebec Champion in all-around and on bars in 2016 as well.

The Tigers are back in action Saturday, Jan. 25 in Raleigh, North Carolina. The meet is scheduled tot begin at 4 p.m. against North Carolina.
