  • Jeter went off with 12 points in the first, pushing Towson to an 18-14 lead at the end of one.
  • Elon closed in more in the opening minutes of the second period, coming within one point of tying it up with 6:08 to go.

  • Starting the third quarter the Phoenix went on a 7-2 run and took the lead for the first time since the first quarter. By the end of the third, Elon was leading 48-44.
  • Mya Jones scored the first bucket of the fourth quarter, putting the home team within two of tying it up. The Phoenix responded on the next possession and jumped out to a 57-48 lead with seven minutes to go.
  • Scoring struggles continued for the Tigers as Elon continued to make shots and go to the free throw line. With 3:10 remaining the Phoenix were leading by 11.
  • With 57 seconds to go Q. Murray cut the lead to eight, that was the closest Towson would get to tying up the game.
