Jermon Bushrod.
A four-year starter at offensive tackle for coach
Gordy Combs (2003-06), Bushrod earned All-Atlantic 10 honors three times, including first team as a senior. He was a fourth round draft choice of the New Orleans Saints in 2007 and started 128 games during his 12-year NFL career that included two stints in New Orleans and stops with the Chicago Bears and Miami Dolphins. The King George, VA native became a starter at left tackle for the Saints in 2009 and helped New Orleans win Super Bowl XLIV that season. He earned Pro Bowl honors in 2011 and 2012. Bushrod, who retired from the NFL after the 2018 season, was to be inducted into the Towson Athletics Hall of Fame this October before that event was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
