TOWSON, Md. – Incoming transfer Curtis Holland III has been ruled immediately eligible by the NCAA and can play in the 2020-21 season for Towson University men's basketball.
Holland III, an incoming junior from Churchton, Md., transferred to Towson from High Point for this season. He played in 39 games with 34 starts for the Panthers with much of his sophomore year shortened due to injury. He has two years of eligibility remaining.
He averaged 9.5 points per game for High Point University and shot 35.3% from beyond the arc, including 12.7 points and 39.1% three-point shooting as a sophomore.
"We were excited to receive the deserving news that Curtis is immediately eligible for us," said Towson head coach Pat Skerry. "I thank both the NCAA and our Director of Compliance Terry Porter for their efforts on this. I know Curtis is excited to get to work with his teammates and we are excited about implementing his talents into our team."
The 2020-21 roster currently has seven players from the state of Maryland: Holland III, Chris Caliguiran, Greg Cross, Jason Gibson, Demetrius Mims, Justin Patterson and Charles Thompson.
