PHILDELPHIA-    With the highest opening score in Towson University gymnastics history, the Tigers captured a second-place finish Saturday night in a tri-meet with Temple and Eastern Michigan.

The Tigers finished with a score of 193.925, while Eastern Michigan scored 194.300 and Temple scored 192.400.

Towson opened the night on beam earning a 48.2. Then on floor scored a 48.950, next was vault and the Tigers scored a 48.900 and ended the night with a 47.875 on bars.

How it Happened

• Jenna Weitz scored a 9.750 on beam while Camille Vitoff scored a 9.725. Freshman Allison Zuhlke scored a 9.700.
• Amy Stewart and Paige Casper were huge highlights of the night both scoring a 9.825 with their floor routines. Weitz and Nikki Borkowski scored a 9.775.
• Borkowski led the way on vault with a 9.850 capturing first-place. Lauren Bolen scored a 9.800.
• Grace Vaillancourt led on bars scoring a 9.775. Tess Zientek scored a 9.750 and Zuhlke scored a 9.725.
