Cheerleading Announces Virtual Tryout Protocol for 2021-22

Videos & Medical Paperwork Due Sunday, March 14 by 11:59 p.m. EST

Paperwork to Include:

Indemnity Agreement (link is under the Tryouts page)
Proof of Insurance
Cheerleader Application

Video Requirements:

Tumbling

3 standing tumbling videos (3 connected elements ex: BHS BHS Full)
3 standing tumbling videos (single element ex: BHS, Standing Tuck, Standing full)
3 running tumbling videos: straight tuck/layout/full, specialty tumbling pass
Should you have more tumbling to showcase, please feel free to add
Any competition or previously recorded content should showcase CURRENT skills and recorded within a year of the tryout date

Jumps

Triple jump sequence including: Toe Touch & Pike (third jump is your choice)
Single Toe Touch into a standing back tuck/handspring (if not tumbling, just a single toe touch)
Any competition or previously recorded content should showcase CURRENT skills and recorded within a year of the tryout date

Cheer

Required Towson Cheer (posted on the Instagram page under the highlights section marked TRYOUTS)
Required Towson Cheer Fight Song (posted on the Instagram page under the highlights section marked TRYOUTS)
Required material will be posted no later than February 21st

Stunts

3 stunting videos of the position you're trying out for (display great technique)
Any competition or previously recorded content should showcase CURRENT skills and recorded within a year of the tryout date
Should you have more stunting to showcase, please feel free to add

Interview

In full Game Day makeup, hair, bow
Introduce yourself: Full Name/Age/Incoming Class/Position you're trying out for/Game Day or Comp Team/Previous cheer experience/Why you think you will make a great Towson Tiger
Include a fun fact about yourself that is not cheer related
