NEWARK, Del. – Delaware took the 86-55 decision Sunday afternoon at the Bob Carpenter Center. Kionna Jeter posted a team-high 24 points and added five rebounds.
Kiara Johnson, Shavonne Smith and Skye Williams all followed with six points each. Johnson, Allie Kubek and LaKaitlin Wright all registered six rebounds, respectively, to lead the team on the boards.
For the Blue Hens, Jasmine Dickey dropped game-highs with 30 points and 11 rebounds. Ty Battle also contributed 15 points and 10 boards.
Due to an abundance of caution, Head Coach Diane Richardson was transported to a local hospital for observation. She was released Sunday night. Associate Head Coach Zach Kancher coached the second half of the game for the Tigers.

- Aleah Nelson has topped the Tigers in assists 17 of 18 contests this season. The sophomore from Baltimore is averaging 6.5 assists per contest.
- As a Tiger, Jeter has scored in double figures 72 times in 80 career games.
- Towson scored 26 points in the paint and grabbed 38 off the boards. The Tigers also forced 24 Blue Hen turnovers for 14 points.
How it Happened:
- Jeter opened scoring with a layup to take the initial lead. The senior guard had seven points in the first quarter.
- The Blue Hens ended the first period on an 8-2 run to take the seven-point advantage after the first 10:00. The Tigers held the opposing team to just 27.3 percent shooting (6-of-22) from the field in the quarter.
- At the 7:11 mark in the second, Williams converted on a three-point play followed by a layup from Johnson put the game within one point.
- Delaware went on a 15-2 run to regain a solid lead.
- Late scoring efforts from Jeter, Nelson and Williams made the score 36-26 going into the locker room.
- The Blue Hens went on a nine-point run with just over a minute left in the third to end the quarter with the 20-point edge.
- Towson held the Blue Hens to just 1-3 from beyond the arc, however, Delaware shot 52.6 percent (10-of-19) from the field in the quarter.
- Towson could not stop the Blue Hens, as they went on to net a game-high 27 points in the final quarter of play.
- Jeter had a strong ending to the game, netting 11 points and securing two boards in the fourth.
