BROOKVILLE, N.Y. – On Sunday afternoon, the Towson University gymnastics team captured first place in a quad-meet hosted by LIU. Inside Pratt Recreation Center, the Tigers saw running scores of 48.950 (vault), 49.125 (bars), 48.375 (beam) and 48.725 on floor to lead to an overall final score of 195.175.
UNH finished in second with a score of 194.900, while Pitt came in third scoring a 194.050 and LIU scored a 191.825.
How it Happened
- The Tigers opened the night on floor where Amy Stewart led the way with a 9.875 finishing in first-place. Nikki Borkowski scored a 9.825 coming in third.
- Up next for Towson was vault and Lauren Bolen and Camille Vitoff both scored a 9.825 tying for first place. Stewart tied for third scoring a 9.8.
- Third rotation for the Tigers was bars and Tess Zientek finished with a new season-high score of 9.875 capturing second. Allison Zuhlke and Vitoff both scored a 9.850 tying for third and Stewart scored a 9.8.
- Emerson Hurst tied for first on beam scoring a 9.875. Zuhlke scored a 9.750.
- Bolen finished in third in the all-around scoring a 38.600.

Towson will travel to Philadelphia for a tri-meet hosted by Temple on Friday, March 5. The Tigers will also compete against George Washington inside of Pearson & McGonigle Hall with the meet slated to begin at 7 p.m.
