TOWSON, Md. – After one of his best starts in a Towson University uniform, pitcher
Josh Seils has been chosen as the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Pitcher of the Week, announced by the league on Tuesday.
This is the second time Seils has been selected as the CAA Pitcher of the Week, last picking up the honor on March 18, 2019.
Towson has gotten two weekly honors this season, with
Danny Becerra being the CAA Rookie of the Week on March 9.
The junior from Brookeville, Maryland was the Saturday game one starter, going seven innings in a victory over UMass. He allowed just three hits and one run, striking out a career-high 10 batters. His victory, along with
Nick Janowicz's win later that day, led to a series split against the Minutemen.
Towson next plays tomorrow against GW at 3 p.m. at Schuerholz Park.
