TOWSON, Md. – Towson University alum
Timajh Parker-Rivera will return to the professional ranks, signing a contract with Caballos de Cocle Aguadulce, the defending champion of the top basketball league in Panama.
Parker-Rivera will be entering his sixth year of professional basketball overseas, last playing with Cariduros de Fajardo in Puerto Rico. He has also played professionally in Mexico, Portugal, Chile, India and Germany. Parker-Rivera is also currently a member of the Puerto Rican National Team, competing in the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) AmeriCup in 2021.
Caballos de Cocle Aguadulce plays in Liga Profesional de Baloncesto, a six-team league in Panama. The team is in the Aguadulce District in central Panama. The team was the champion in 2020, holding two regular season titles and three appearances in the championship since 2016.
A member of the 2015-16 Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) All-Defensive Team, Parker-Rivera was a three-year starter for the Tigers, also earning CAA All-Academic Team during the 2014-15 and 2015-16 campaigns. He currently stands third all-time at Towson in career field goal % (.577), first in total games played (132), sixth in blocked shots (127), seventh in total minutes played (3,103), ninth in total rebounds (683).
