TOWSON, Md. – Towson University alum
Dennis Tunstall will return to Europe this upcoming season for his second professional year, signing with Basketball Academic Limburg (BAL) in the Netherlands for the 2021-22 campaign.
Last season in his first professional year, Tunstall played for BBC Amicale Steesel in Luxembourg, averaging 20.3 points, 16.1 rebounds and 2.1 blocks in 18 total games. His performance earned him Eurobasket.com All-Luxembourg League Honorable Mention.
BAL will be playing in the newly-formed BNXT League in 2021-22, made up of teams in the Netherlands and Belgium. Last season in the Dutch Basketball League, BAL won the Dutch Cup after a 12-9 season.
Tunstall was one of Towson's top defensive players during the
Pat Skerry era, earning CAA All-Defensive Team in each 2018-19 and 2019-20. He stands eighth in program history with 120 career blocks and fourth with 125 career games played. From 2016-20, Tunstall shot 60.1% from the field, compiling 464 points, 628 rebounds, 120 blocks and 78 steals.
