GREENVILLE, NC – After the first 36 holes of the tournament, the Towson University women's golf team sits in 10^th place with a score of 627 (+51).
 
High Point and East Carolina currently lead the field, earning scores of 583 (+7) after two rounds of play.
 
Madison Barber currently leads for the Tigers after finishing the first day tied for 17^th. Barber shot a 77 for her first round, notching three birdies. The senior bounced back for her second round, improving by five strokes after shooting a career best 72. Barber earned her previous career best of 73 at the Grandover Fall Classic two weeks ago.
 
Next up is Faith McIlvain who finished tied for 40^th after rounds of 75 and 81. The junior had a strong first nine holes, earning eight pars and one bogey. She notched three birdies for the day.
 
Odette Font Garcia followed closely behind, finishing the first 36 holes tied for 45^th. The sophomore shot a 82 for the first round, earning a birdie. Font Garcia slightly improved for the next round, lowering her score by five strokes. She added four more birdies to her scorecard for the second round.
 
Sophomore Rayab Lee had a consistent first day performance, playing rounds of 82 and 81.  She earned four birdies for the day.
 
Isabella Portokalis rounded out the team. The junior played rounds of 86 and 81, notching two birdies for the day.
 
The Tigers will finish the tournament tomorrow morning.
