Women’s Basketball Downed by Princeton

TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University women's basketball team fell to the Princeton Tigers 71-54 on Monday night. Towson (4-4) battled back from down 17 multiple times, but Princeton pulled away late.
 
Kylie Kornegay-Lucas led Towson with 20 points on 50% shooting with four rebounds, two steals and two blocks. Patricia Anumgba finished with a season-best ten points.

  • Towson had eight steals for the second time this season.
 
How It Happened vs Princeton:
  • Towson jumped out to a 4-0 lead after baskets by Skye Williams and Quinzia Fulmore.
  • Princeton responded with a 9-2 run, but Tows quickly regained an 11-9 lead.
  • Princeton closed out the first quarter on an 11-2 run to have a 20-13 advantage.
  • The teams started the second quarter exchanging baskets until Princeton scored eight straight points to take a 16-point lead late in the quarter.
