TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University men's basketball team continues to impress with its strong play, landing at No. 20 in the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top-25.
Towson earns a spot in the Mid-Major Top-25 for the first time since Jan. 15, 2018, being honored as one of the top mid-major programs in the country. The Tigers have the highest NCAA NET rankings among Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) teams at 80 and are tied for sixth in Division I with eight true road victories.
The Tigers stand at 19-7 overall, having won five of its last six games. The team has earned victories over Hofstra and Navy, which are each receiving votes in the Mid-Major Top-25. The CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top-25 is voted on by mid-major coaches around the country.
Towson stands in second place in the CAA at 10-3, just a game-and-a-half out of first place.
A showdown is set in North Carolina on Thursday, Feb. 17 at 6 p.m. as the Tigers take on UNCW, ranked No. 23 in the Mid-Major Top-25, on the CBS Sports Network. Check your local listings for channel information.
