MORGANTOWN, W.V. – The Towson University women's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to West Virginia Saturday afternoon at the Summit Tennis Academy.
The Mountaineers earned the doubles point after sweeping all three matches 6-1, setting the tone for the match. WVU won all six singles matches in straight sets, although
Themis Haliou (No. 2) led 3-1 in the first set and 2-1 in the second set before eventually losing 6-4, 6-4.
Jessica Assenmacher (No. 3) was tied at 4-all in the opening set.
