ALTOONA, Pa. – The Towson University women's tennis team fell to Saint Francis on Sunday afternoon in a very close match, 4-3.

"It was a brutal loss," head coach Jamie Peterson said. "Despite winning the doubles point and a couple of very solid performances, we could not put it together collectively to win the match. Right now, we have made the season very challenging for ourselves. We must keep showing resiliency and a fighters mentality." 

Doubles  

The Tigers won the doubles points, with victories on courts No. 1 and No. 3.  

Themis Haliou and Sissi Axelsson got things start on the first court, with a dominant 6-1 win. Lea Kosanovic and Antonia Lawson followed up with another big victory on the last court, 6-4, to secure the first point of the match.  

Singles  

Amelia Lawson earned a win on court No. 1 in straight sets, 6-2, 7-5. Kosanovic also took care of business on court No. 6, battling to a third set to pick up with victory, 6-4, 0-6, 10-6.  

It wasn't enough though as the Red Flash won the four middle courts in straight sets to secure the 4-3 victory.
