ANNAPOLIS, Md. – For a final time this academic year, Towson University junior men's swimming and diving student-athlete
Ajani Dorner dove, finishing the season at the 2022 NCAA Zone A Championships on Tuesday afternoon at Lejeune Hall, located on base at the United States Naval Academy.
Dorner finished 42 in the men's 1-meter dive preliminary round, scoring a 217.90. The Easton, Pennsylvanian scored four dives in the 40.00s, including his best dive of the day in the fifth round. Dorner logged a 49.20 on a 403B inward one-and-a-half somersault pike. Dorner's fifth dive was the 19th-high score for the fifth round.
The highest degree of difficulty for Dorner came in the final round, beginning at a 3.10 as Dorner hit a 405C inward two-and-a-half somersault tuck for 43.40 points. Dorner's third dive, a 305C reverse two-and-a-half somersault tuck, scored a 46.50 thanks to a 3.00 degree of difficulty and ranked 21st for the third round.
