TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University football team is back and ready to prepare for the 2022 season, holding its first spring practice today.
This was the first of 14 practices scheduled for the spring, which will conclude in mid-April. Towson gathered on the Lower Fields Complex this morning with returners and newcomers who enrolled for the spring semester coming together for the first time on the field.
"This was a great first day with tremendous energy," said Towson head coach
Rob Ambrose. "It is always great to be together as a family and play football. Spring football is our chance to improve and build towards the fall. It was an awesome first day."
The team participated in numerous drills and plays as well and various individual position workouts in the morning.
Towson is getting ready for the fall 2022 campaign. Last year, Towson retained the Battle For Greater Baltimore trophy with its win over Morgan State and earned a 21-point victory over then top-15 Rhode Island.
