TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University women's tennis team fell to Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) foe William & Mary, 7-0.
The Tribe got out to a hot start, winning the doubles point with 6-1 and 6-0 decisions on courts No. 1 and No. 2, respectively. William & Mary went onto win all six singles matches to secure the 7-0 sweep. Themis Haliou was the only Tiger to win a set, pushing her match on court No. 2 to three sets. But the effort was not enough, as she fell to Hedda Gurholt (6-2, 4-6, 10-6).
