TOWSON, Md. – Two Towson University baseball players have been recognized by the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) for their play this season in the league's postseason awards.
Jack McLaughlin earned All-CAA Second Team while
Elijah Dickerson was selected as Honorable Mention All-CAA.
It is the second year in a row where Towson has landed a player on the All-CAA Second Team. In 2021,
Kody Reeser was an All-CAA Second Team relief pitcher.
McLaughlin played 47 games for Towson at first base and third base, currently standing 11
th in the CAA with a .309 batting average. The senior from Golden, Colorado hit eight home runs and drove in 22 RBI, leading the team with a .404 on-base percentage, earning 16 multi-hit games.
Dickerson started 51 games, primarily in left field, standing in the top-10 in the CAA in several categories, including home runs (6
th, 10), triples (t-1
st, 5), RBI (t-6
th, 42) and slugging percentage (t-8
th, .529). The Mount Holly, New Jersey native hit .262 with 10 doubles and 13 multi-hit games.
The All-CAA teams are nominated and voted on by the league's head coaches.
