TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University women's basketball team cruised past William & Mary on Friday night 75-43. The Tigers (8-7, 2-2 CAA) pick up their second consecutive 30+ point win.
 
Anissa Rivera finished with a season-high 16 points, eight rebounds and three assists. Quinzia Fulmore finished with 13 points and seven rebounds on 50% shooting, while Kylie Kornegay-Lucas totaled 13 points, seven rebounds and two blocks.
 
Key Stats vs William & Mary:

• Towson dominated the glass grabbing 49 rebounds for the second straight game.
• The Tigers finished 42.6% from the floor, including 44.4% from behind the arc.
• Towson's defense allowed the Tribe to shoot 24.6% from the field.
• The Tigers finished with a season-high 39 bench points.

 
How It Happened vs William & Mary:

• William & Mary jumped out to an 8-4 lead after back-to-back three-pointers by the Tribe.
• The Tigers closed out the first quarter on an 8-2 run, with Anissa Rivera making a step-back jumper as time expired to give Towson a 12-10 edge heading into the second quarter.
• The teams went back and forth, with Towson maintaining a slim lead, then Alexia Nelson's three sparked a 9-0 run to give the Tigers a 25-14 advantage. 
• The Tribe made a three, but Towson responded with seven consecutive points to have a 15-point lead.
• Both teams traded baskets with the Tigers having a 36-21 advantage going into the locker room.
• Nelson and Quinzia Fulmore started the third quarter with back-to-back baskets to extend the lead to 19 points.
• The Tribe tried to start a comeback, but Kylie Kornegay-Lucas and Skye Williams responded each time to maintain a strong lead for Towson.
• The Tigers made consecutive three-pointers to push the advantage to over 20 points late in the third quarter.
• The teams traded baskets giving Towson a 56-33 edge heading into the fourth.
• The fourth quarter started with both teams making baskets, but the Tigers countered with a 9-0 run to have a 67-37 advantage.
• Mariah Wilson made a couple of throws and Gabby Scott drained a three from the top of the key to give Towson a 33-point lead, its biggest of the game.
• The teams traded free throws to end the game and give the Tigers their second straight CAA victory.

• The Tigers improve to 6-1 on the season when they hold a team to under 35%.
