WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – The Towson University women's basketball team defeated the Monmouth Hawks on Sunday afternoon 63-57. The Tigers (9-7, 3-2 CAA) won their third straight game and picked up their first CAA road win this season.
Anissa Rivera surpassed 1000 career collegiate points scoring 11 points and grabbing six rebounds.
Ryann Evans had a season-high 14 points on 60% shooting, while
Quinzia Fulmore added eight points and eight rebounds.

- The Tigers grabbed 18 offensive rebounds, their most since Howard.
- Towson's bench combined for 33 points to have its third consecutive game with 30 or more points.

- Towson opened the game with an 8-0 run with Quinzia Fulmore and Patricia Anumgba combing for six points.
- India Johnston made a nice step-back jumper to maintain the lead for the Tigers, then Monmouth responded with a 6-0 run to take an 11-10 lead with 3:20 left.
- Towson scored on back-to-back possessions to regain the advantage, but the Hawks made consecutive three-pointers to take a four-point edge.
- The Tigers cut the lead in half after a couple of free throws to end the first quarter.
- Monmouth opened the second quarter with a 10-0 run.
- Anissa Rivera started a 19-0 run for the Tigers, converting a four-point play.
- During the run, Towson regained the lead after Mariah Wilson picked off a pass in the backcourt and made the easy layup.
- The lead continued to grow after three different Tigers made baskets to earn a 34-27 advantage.
