Connor McDonough will compete with Team Australia in the upcoming 2023 World Lacrosse Men's Championship this summer.
McDonough enters his junior campaign with Towson, being with the Tigers the last two seasons. His mother is from Perth in Western Australia while McDonough's grandparents still live in Perth.
McDonough competed in tryouts in Melbourne, Australia in early January. Team Australia announced its roster for the upcoming World Championship earlier this week. McDonough also formerly was selected for the U19 Australia Team.
The 2023 World Lacrosse Men's Championship will be held in California, on the campus of San Diego State University, from June 21 to July 1.
In 2018, Australia competed in the Blue Division, the highest division in World Lacrosse, earning a fourth-place finish in the tournament. Australia earned automatic qualification into the 2023 championship.
Earlier, Towson alum Zach Goodrich was named to the Team USA roster for the 2023 World Championship, putting current/former Tigers on at least two Blue Division teams for the upcoming tournament.
