STONY BROOK, N.Y. – The Towson University women's basketball team faced off against the Stony Brook Seawolves on Sunday afternoon. The Tigers (12-8, 6-3 CAA) had their six-game winning streak snapped as the Seawolves were victorious 83-66.
 
Patricia Anumgba led Towson with 13 points and three rebounds, while Quinzia Fulmore registered her fourth double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

• Stony Brook opened the game with a 5-2 run to take an early lead.
• The teams traded baskets, then Anissa Rivera hit a three-pointer from the right wing to the game at nine.
• Stony Brook responded with a 5-0 run, but India Johnston hit a triple as time expired to trail by two at the end of the first.
• Both teams started the second quarter exchanging baskets, then Taiye Johnson's putback tied the score at 18.
• The Seawolves regained a four-point lead, but Patricia Anumgba cut the deficit to one after converting an and-one.
• Shamarla King made consecutive threes to extend the lead, but Johnston and Alexia Nelson made jumpers to chip away at the deficit.
• The teams continued to go back and forth with Stony Brook having a 32-28 lead going into the locker room.
• Towson came out of the locker room firing, scoring on its first seven possessions with Anumgba leading the charge with eight points to take a 44-40 advantage.
• Stony Brook regained a one-point edge after consecutive buckets, but Rivera countered with two consecutive jumpers of her own to take a 48-44 lead.
• The teams continued to go back and forth with Towson maintaining a slim lead, but the Seawolves ended the third with an 8-2 run to have a 57-54 edge.
• Stony Brook started the fourth quarter with an 11-2 run.
• The Tigers tried to make a comeback, but each time the Seawolves had an answer each time to snap Towson's win streak.
