TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University men's swimming & diving team dropped a tightly-contested meet against the U.S. Naval Academy 150-139 Saturday afternoon at Lejeune Hall in Annapolis, Md.

How it Happened:
- In the 200 medley relay, Evan Bota, Brian Benzing, Noah Diacumakos and Michael Fazio took first with a time of 1:30.72. Reed Sells, Patrick Flint, Aiden Rooney and Daniel McLaughlin finished fifth at 1:33.98.
- Trey Adkins took fifth in the 200 free with a time of 1:45.75.
- Sells took first in the 100 back, clocking in at 51.23.
- Benzing's 54.40 in the 100 breast was good for first in the event.
- Patrick Flint placed third in the 200 fly with a time of 1:54.16.
- Fazio won the 50 free at 20.99. McLaughlin placed fifth with a time of 21.69.
- Ajani Dorner (317.78), Aidan Clark (255.90) and Luke Gallagher (167.55) took the top three spots in the three-meter dive.
- Fazio took third in the 100 free with a time of 46.80.
- In the 200 back, Sells took the top spot at 1:51.03.
- Flint placed fifth in the 500 free with a time of 4:48.89.
- Towson took the top four spots in the 100 fly by way of Diacumakos (1st, 50.36), Ian Lee (2nd, 52.71), Carson Bauer (3rd, 52.72) and Dean Blakely (4th, 53.67).
- Clark took third in the one-meter dive with a score of 270.83.
- The Tigers took the top three spots in the 200 IM by way of Flint (1st, 1:54.98), Diacumakos (2nd, 1:56.14) and Kirill Pankov (3rd, 2:02.53).
- The 400 free relay team of Luke Schwar, Fazio, McLaughlin and Benzing finished first with a time of 3:04.89. David Walton, TJ Bearor, Ryan Bookstein and Adkins finished second with a time of 3:12.01.
On Deck for the Tigers
Towson's next meet is a dual meet against local foe UMBC. The meet was previously scheduled for Nov. 5. Diving is now set for a noon start on Tuesday, Jan. 17 and swimming is slated for 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 18.
