TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University women's basketball hosted the Morgan State Lady Bears in the Charm City Hoops Classic. The Tigers (4-1) defeated the Lady Bears (3-4) 80-69 behind a stellar first quarter.
 
Kylie Kornegay-Lucas led the way with a season-high 24 points, nine rebounds and seven assists while 
Aminata Diakite had a season-high 17 points and four rebounds.

	- The Tigers finished with a season-best 42 points in the paint tonight.
 
	- Towson shot a season-high 46% from the floor.

	- The Tigers jumped out to a 14-2 lead, holding the Lady Bears scoreless for the first six minutes.
 
	- The teams traded baskets to end the first quarter with Aminata Diakite leading the way with nine points as Towson took a 20-8 lead into the second quarter.
 
	- The teams continued to exchange baskets back-and-forth until back-to-back threes from Morgan State cut the lead down to single digits.

	- The fourth quarter started with a 10-2 run by Morgan State to cut the deficit to 15.
 
	- The Tigers countered with a 6-0 run led by India Johnston's four points.
 
	- The teams battled back-and-forth with the Lady Bears cutting the lead down to 13, but a Kornegay-Lucas jumper and an Alexia Nelson layup restored a 17-point advantage.
 
	- Morgan State closed out the game with two late threes to reach the final score of 80-64 as Towson extended its winning streak to three games.
