LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Towson University women's basketball took on the Liberty Lady Flames on Monday night. The Tigers (5-1) were victorious over the Lady Flames (3-6) 73-70 in overtime to extend Towson's winning streak to four.
Patricia Anumgba tied a career-high with 21 points on 7-of-13 (53.8%) shooting while
Quinzia Fulmore finished with 12 points and ten rebounds to earn her second straight double-double.

- Towson finished with a season-high 13 steals.
- The Tigers went 19-of-22 (86.4%) from the free throw line.
- Towson had a season-best 26 points off the bench
- Bella Smuda led Liberty with 22 points, shooting 10-of-15 (66.7%) from the field and added 14 rebounds.
How It Happened vs Liberty:
- The first quarter started with both teams trading baskets, then the Lady Flames went on a 9-3 run to take an 18-12 edge.
- The teams closed out the first quarter by trading baskets with Liberty leading by six.
- Towson opened the second quarter with a 5-0 run led by Quinzia Fulmore and Anasia Staton layups to trail 22-21.
- The Tigers went on a 14-0 run led by India Johnston's eight points to have a 35-22 lead.
- Liberty scored with on its final possession of the second quarter to trail 35-24 going into halftime.
- Towson came out of the locker room and regained a 13-point lead after a Patricia Anumgba triple.

- Liberty cut Towson's lead down to two after a 7-2 run to open the fourth quarter.
- Towson countered with a 6-2 run led by Kylie Kornegay-Lucas's two baskets to have a 56-50 edge midway through the fourth.
- The Lady Flames battled back and tied the score at 58 with 1:02 left.
- Emma Hess converted a three-point play with 22 seconds remaining to give Liberty the lead,
- Out of a Towson timeout, Anumgba was fouled on a three-point attempt, but made only two to trail by one with 16 seconds left.
- The Tigers fouled Asia Boone, who made one of the two free throws to lead 62-60.
- On the next possession, Kornegay-Lucas missed a mid-range jumper, but Alexia Nelson grabbed the offensive rebound and was fouled on the shot attempt.
- Nelson made both free throws to tie the score at 62 with seven seconds remaining.
- The Lady Flames had a chace to win, but great defense by the Tigers forced overtime.
- Liberty started overtime with a quick basket, then Fulmore scored four consecutive points to give Towson a 66-64 edge.
- The Lady Flames tied the score at 66, but Anumgba and Fulmore responded with a basket eacg to restore a four-point advantage.
- Liberty cut the lead down to two with 16 seconds left, but Nelson made three free throws to seal a 73-70 victory.

- The Tigers snapped Liberty's 16-game winning streak at Liberty Arena.
- Towson won its first overtime game since January 6, 2015 against William & Mary, 77-69.
