TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University women's basketball team hosted the George Washington Revolutionaries on Wednesday afternoon in the annual STEM game. The Tigers (6-1) knocked off the Revolutionaries (4-5) 68-60 in front of over 2,000 people.
 
India Johnston finished with a career-high 24 points on 8-of-12 (66.7%) shooting while Kylie Kornegay-Lucas added ten points, nine rebounds and four assists.

• Towson shot a season-best 44.4% from behind the arc, going 8-of-18.
• The Tigers totaled 11 steals and have finished the last three games with double-digit steals.
• Towson had a season-high 30 points off the bench.
• Nya Robertson led George Washington with 30 points, shooting 12-of-23 (52.2%) from the field and added nine rebounds.

 
How It Happened vs George Washington:

• The Tigers came out of the gates making three of their first four three-pointers to take an 9-7 edge.
• Towson went on a 7-2 run capped off by an India Johnston three to take a 16-9 lead.
• The teams closed out the first quarter by exchanging baskets with the Black & Gold having an 18-13 lead.
• Quinzia Fulmore started the second quarter with two quick layups to extend Towson advantage to nine.
• The Revolutionaries cut the deficit to five after a 6-2 run led by Nya Robertson's back-to-back triples.
• The Tigers finished the second quarter on a 14-2 run that included 11 straight points to take a 40-23 lead into the locker room.
• The third quarter started with both teams trading baskets with Towson holding a 14-point lead.
• George Washington closed out the third quarter on a 13-5 run to trail 53-47 heading into the fourth quarter.
• Both teams traded baskets ,but the Revolutionaries cut the lead down to four with 6:59 left after a Nya Lok layup.
• Johnston scored Towson's final 11 points to secure a 68-60 victory over George Washington.
