Brookville, N.Y. – The Towson University gymnastics team concluded its Saturday night dual meet with EAGL foe Long Island University in a tie, with both teams scoring 195.925.
The Black & Gold found most success on floor, posting the ninth best score in program history after three Tigers tied for first place in the event.
How it Happened:
Bars – 49.025
- Grace Vaillancourt led the way for the Tigers, posting a 9.875 to place second overall.
- Isabella Minervini was the next top finisher for Towson, receiving a 9.825 to place fourth.
- Rookie Lauren Greene earned the same score as Minervini, tying with her teammate for fourth place.
Vault – 48.925
- Polina Belanovski placed first in the event for her third consecutive meet, posting a 9.850 and tying with LIU's Katy Koopman. The score was only .50 off Belanovski's career best.
- Lauren Bolen placed third after achieving a 9.800.
- Jenna Weitz was the next finisher for the Tigers, earning a 9.775.
Floor – 49.275
Beam – 48.825
- Jenna Weitz earned her first gold medal of the season, tying with two LIU gymnasts after receiving a season high 9.825.
- Lauren Bolen was the next finisher for the Tigers, posting a 9.800 to place fourth.
