Brookville, NY – The Towson University gymnastics team bounced back from Saturday night's performance, winning the quad meet against LIU, Brown and Bridgeport after scoring a 196.350. The Tigers earned 49.000 or better on bars (49.075), beam (49.125) and floor (49.225).
How it Happened:
Bars – 49.075
- Grace Vaillancourt was the top finisher for the Black & Gold, posting a 9.900 to place second overall. The score is only .50 off the junior's career best.
- Lauren Keener received a 9.850, the second-best score she has earned this season.
- Lauren Greene was the next finisher for Towson, placing fifth with a 9.800
Beam – 49.125
- Jenna Weitz was the top finisher for the Tigers, picking up a new season best after posting a 9.875 to tie for fourth.
- Cassidy Stuart and Lauren Bolen collected new season bests as well, earning 9.825s.
- The Tigers took the lead at the conclusion of the second rotation, edging out LIU by 0.375 points.
Floor – 49.225
Vault – 48.925
- Polina Belanovski took first place for her fourth consecutive meet, improving by .025 from Saturday nights score to post a 9.875. The freshman tied with two LIU gymnasts.
- Camille Vitoff finished tied for fourth with a 9.825, her second best score this season.
