TOWSON, Md. – This week's Student-Athlete Spotlight features Towson University men's lacrosse player
Evan Long.
After appearing in just six games during his first three seasons at Towson, Long earned the starting goalie role with consistent play last fall and during the pre-season. In the season opening victory over Mount St. Mary's, he stopped 11 shots and allowed just four goals.
A 3.0 student, Long will graduate in December with a criminal justice degree. Instead of playing a fifth season for the Tigers in 2024, he plans on enlisting into the United States Army and enrolling in Ranger School.
Check out his story by the Towson Sports Network.
Long and his teammates will play later this afternoon at the University of Richmond. Faceoff is scheduled for 4 p.m.
