TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University men's lacrosse team solidified another final top-15 national ranking with the release of the United States Intercollegiate Coaches Association (USILA) Coaches Poll.
Towson landed at No. 15 in the final USILA poll, matching its place in the
Inside Lacrosse Media Poll released last week. Towson is the only Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) team to finish in the top-20 poll.
The Tigers earned a second straight undefeated CAA regular season and CAA Tournament title, taking a DI program record 10-game winning streak into the NCAA Tournament. Towson finished 11-6 overall and 7-0 in CAA play, falling in the NCAA First Round to Princeton.
During Towson's 10-game winning streak, the Tigers had a combined three victories over Hofstra and Fairfield, which each received votes in the final USILA poll.
The last two seasons, Towson has finished in the top-15 nationally in each the USILA and
Inside Lacrosse polls. The Tigers have combined to go 24-10 the last two years, including two CAA Tournament titles and a perfect 14-0 in CAA regular season play.
