TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University men's swimming & diving team stands in second place after day three of the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Championship in Hampton, Virginia with 443 total points. UNCW leads the pack with 617 points while Delaware rounds out the top three with 416 points. Drexel (367), William & Mary (269.5) and Monmouth (171.5) stand fourth, fifth and sixth respectively.
The women's team is currently in fifth place with 280 points following day two's results. UNCW (512.5) is in first place, William & Mary (369.5) in second and Northeastern (358) third. Delaware (348) stands in fourth place while Drexel (227), Monmouth (130) and Stony Brook (114) round out the leaderboard.
Brian Benzing broke his own CAA record in the 100 breast with a 51.25 and won the 100 fly with a 46.25, bringing his total individual medal count to three. Freshman
Ally Frame won the 100 back with a 53.19 in the race.

- Brian Benzing won his second individual event of the weekend in the 100 fly with a time of 46.25. Evan Bota took seventh in the B final (49.35).
- Patrick Flint placed sixth in the 400 IM, clocking in at 3:55.23. Kirill Pankov placed eighth in the A final with a 3:55.79. In the B final, David Walton took second (3:55.15) and Ryan Bookstein (3:56.53) took fourth.
- Michael Fazio took silver in the 200 free with a 1:37.11 in A final. Luke Schwar took sixth place (1:39.42). Daniel McLaughlin (1:39.54), Trey Adkins (1:40.05) and TJ Bearor (1:40.65) placed third, fourth and sixth respectively in the B final.
- Brian Benzing captured his third individual gold of the championship with a 51.25 in the 100 breast. That time breaks his own CAA and Towson records and meets the NCAA A standard in the event.
- Evan Bota took seventh in the A final of the 100 back with a 49.05. Reed Sells took third in the B heat (49.21).
- In the men's 3m dive, Aidan Clark (264.80) and Ajani Dorner (241.90) placed sixth and eighth respectively in the A final. Luke Gallagher placed tenth overall (168.60).
- Fazio, Adkins, McLaughlin and Schwar took bronze in the 200 free relay (1:19.57).

Day four of the CAA Championships continues tomorrow with preliminary swims starting at 10 a.m. Diving preliminaries will start at 12:30 and the weekend's finals session will begin at 6 p.m.
