Towson Swimming Concludes Day Two of CSCAA National Invitational Championship
TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University swimming team completed day two of the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) National Invitational Championship in Elkhart, Indiana.
The finals session's first event was the men's 200 medley relay.
Reed Sells, Daivd Walton,
Noah Diacumakos and
Daniel McLaughlin finished 18
th overall in the event with a 1:29.63.
The women's 200 medley followed with
Ally Frame,
Tiffany Matulis,
Maddie Frick and
Claire Ryland taking 22
nd place with a 1:42.58.
Ryan Bookstein tied for 29
th place in the 400 IM in the preliminary session with a 4:00.41.
Kirill Pankov (4:04.84) and
Ian Hewett (4:07.28) placed 37
th and 39
th respectively.
Samantha Casolo took the 42
nd spot in the 100 butterfly, clocking in at 55.68.
In the 200 free,
TJ Bearor clocked in at 1:40.40, good for 54
th place. McLaughlin and Like Schwar weren't far behind in 59
th (1:40.93) and 63
rd (1:40.97) respectively.
Diacumakos' 54.96 finished 29
th in the 100 breast.
Patrick Flint tied for 39
th with a 55.87. Walton finished 51
st with a 56.43.
On the women's side, Matulis' 1:03.69 in the event placed 43
rd.
Reed Sells took 33
rd in the 100 back, clocking in at 49.90. Bota placed 51
st (51.02).
For the women,
Ally Frame took bronze in the 100 back with a 53.64, less than half a second off her season-best time at the CAA Championships.
Janine Murphy tied for 39
th with a 56.12.
The 800 free relay capped the night, Walton, Bookstein, Bearor, Flint finished 19
th with a 6:44.13.
On the women's side,
Bridget Thomas,
Lizzy Jones,
Laura Gaffney and
Britney Denny took 30
th with a 7:39.40.
After day two's results, the women stand in 21
st place with 89.5 point. The men's team is in 26
th place with 90.5 points.

The CSCAA National Invitational Championship continues tomorrow with preliminary swims starting at 9:30 a.m. and the day's finals session scheduled for 6 p.m.
