First Rotation
The Tigers are closing out regular season competition with one more travel meet, this time to University of Maryland for a packed meet with George Washington, Temple and Yale.
Familiar Faces
The Tigers went head-to-head with the Terps and Colonials yesterday evening at a senior night quad meet hosted by George Washington.
The three teams each had successful floor rotations, posting 49.300s or better on the event. The Tigers and Terps logged a pair of 49.375s while GW posted a season high 49.300. The Colonials ultimately took first place at the end of the meet, passing Maryland after the final rotation to post a 195.950. After leading for the first three rotations the Terps had a minor setback on beam resulting in a second-place finish with a final score of 195.700.
The Tigers struggled for the first two rotations, posting under 49.000s on both events but were able to bounce back for the final two events. The 49.375 on floor was the third best score in program history, supported by
Grace Vaillancourt's career high 9.900. On vault the team posted a strong 49.000, led by
Polina Belanovski's 9.850. Towson concluded the meet with a 195.450, finishing in third place ahead of William & Mary.
