TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University swimming team completed day one of the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) National Invitational Championship in Elkhart, Indiana.
Tigers competed in one individual event and four relays, two men's and two women's, in the finals session.
First up was the men's 200 free relay.
Luke Schwar,
Noah Diacumakos,
TJ Bearor and
Daniel McLaughlin finished 11
th overall with a time of 1:21.31.
The women's relay of
Claire Ryland,
Janine Murphy,
Tiffany Matulis and
Victoria Dichak finished 37
th overall, clocking in at 1:35.14.
Ally Frame qualified for the 50-yard backstroke final, placing sixth overall with a 25.23 in the session, tied with Jordan Phillips of University of California-San Diego.
In the 400-yard medley relay,
Ian Hewett,
Patrick Flint,
Kirill Pankov and Schwar finished 25
th, tied with Miami University of Ohio, at 3:18.78.
To cap the night, Frame, Matulis,
Samantha Casolo and Ryland placed 18
th in the 400 medley relay, with a time of 3:44.21.

The CSCAA National Invitational Championship continues tomorrow with preliminary swims starting at 9:30 a.m. and the day's finals session scheduled for 6 p.m.
