ALBANY, N.Y. – Three former Towson University players are set to continue their professional careers in 2023, being named to Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) training camp rosters this week.

Ryan Drenner '17, 
Zach Goodrich '19 and 
Koby Smith '22 will report to team training camp next week in preparation for the 2023 season.  Drenner and Goodrich are with the Cannons while Smith is with Atlas.
 
All PLL 30-man training camp rosters we announced via social media by the teams on Monday in preparation for training camp, which starts on Friday, May 26.
 
Drenner is a three-time PLL All-Star in 2019, 2021 and 2022, having played the last four years in the PLL and six years overall with two years in Major League Lacrosse (MLL) from 2017-18.  This will be his third straight season with the Cannons.  In 58 career games, Drenner has 81 goals, 27 assists and 72 ground balls, including 17 goals and three assists last year in the Cannons midfield.
 
Goodrich, the 2020 MLL Defensive Player of the Year, is a two-time All-Star as a professional set to enter year five with the Cannons.  The defensive midfielder has played in 43 career games with 67 ground balls and 37 caused turnovers, having nine and six respectively last year in 10 games.  From June 21-July 1, he will suit up for Team USA for the 2023 World Lacrosse Men's Championship in San Diego.
 
Smith returns to Atlas after being the fifth overall pick in the 2022 PLL Draft.  In his rookie campaign, the long stick midfielder played 10 games for Atlas, tallying five points, including a pair of two-point goals, 11 ground balls and three caused turnovers.
 
Teams will finalize to 25-man rosters by May 30 and will announce a 19-man gameday roster the next day for the opening weekend of the PLL in Albany from June 3-4.
