AUSTIN, TEXAS – Towson University Softball placed three players on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, the association announced on Tuesday. Emma Armstrong, Ally Hickman and Elizabeth Yoskowitz were named to the All-District Team and will now be eligible for Academic All-American teams that will be revealed in early June.
 
The Tigers are coming off a historic season that saw the team reach the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) championship game for the seventh time in program history and first time through the winner's bracket. Towson won 30 games for the first time since 2018 when the team won 42 games.
 
Emma Armstrong made 26 starts this season at first base, collecting 16 hits in 77 at bats for a .208 batting average. The Pennsylvania native scored 10 runs with three doubles, one triple, two home runs and 13 RBIs in a shortened senior season. Armstrong has a 4.0 grade-point-average and will graduate in the spring with a degree in Exercise Science.
 
Hickman was a key contributor at the hot corner for the Tigers in 2023. The Rock Hall, Maryland native had a career year that saw 28 hits, seven doubles, two triples, one home run and 17 RBIs with a .239 batting average. Hickman had the game-tying two-RBI triple against North Carolina A&T in the CAA Tournament. The junior holds a 3.81 grade-point-average majoring in Communication Studies.
 
Yoskowitz ended the year strong helping the Tigers to a CAA championship game appearance and saw her earn CAA All-Tournament Team honors. The Sayville, New York native had 25 hits with 20 runs scored, one triple and six stolen bases in 2023. Yoskowitz had a game-saving grab against Hofstra to put the Tigers into the title game. She has a 3.88 grade-point-average majoring in Elementary Education.
