Juwan Gray Continues Pro Career with Phoenix Corona Brasov

BRASOV, Romania – Former Towson men's basketball standout Juwan Gray will continue his professional career after signing a contract with Phoenix Corona Brasov of Lige 1 in Romania. Gray most recently played for Koping Stars in the Swedish Basketigan League.
 
Gray played in 33 games for Koping Stars where he averaged 10.9 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 1.5 apg and 1.0 bpg last season.
 
Gray played three years for Towson after transferring in from San Diego, serving in the Tiger frontcourt.  The former team captain finished his collegiate career with 811 points, shooting 45% from the field and 526 rebounds.  The Dover, Delaware native helped Towson win a Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) regular season title this past year and was a multiple honoree on the CAA Commissioner's All-Academic Team.
 
Several Tigers who played under coach Pat Skerry have made their mark professionally. Signing contracts since 2020 include Terry Nolan, Sekou Sylla, Juwan Gray, Dennis Tunstall, Nakye Sanders, Brian Fobbs, Alex Gavrilovic, Zane Martin, Timajh Parker-Rivera, Arnaud William Adala Moto and Brian Starr.  Many other players under Skerry have played professionally: Jerrelle Benimon, Mike Burwell, Marcus Damas, John Davis, Bilal Dixon, Four McGlynn and Mike Morsell.
