LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Two Towson University student-athletes,
Kyle Berkeley and
Garrett Zungailia, were honored as United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Scholar All-Americans, announced by the USILA this week.
Berkeley was an All-Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) First Team midfielder, finishing the season with 31 goals and 16 assists with 15 starts in the first midfield, also being named CAA All-Tournament Team.
Zungailia earned All-CAA Second Team recognition at close defense, leading all Towson non-faceoff players in ground balls with 47 and caused turnovers with 18. He also was chosen for the CAA All-Tournament Team.
To be eligible, nominees must have been at least senior standing with a 3.0 grade point average or higher and be an outstanding league or conference player. Each Berkeley and Zungailia were in graduate school on spring 2023.
Berkeley and Zungailia were two of 15 CAA men's lacrosse student-athletes to be honored as 2023 USILA Scholar All-Americans.
