TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University women's basketball team announced today that Zion Sanders has joined the Tigers' coaching staff as an assistant coach for the upcoming 2023-24 season.
  
Sanders comes to Towson after spending two seasons at the University of Tennessee as a graduate assistant. The Lady Vols registered 25 wins in both seasons while Sanders was there including consecutive Sweet 16 appearances. At Tennessee, she worked with post players such as Rickea Jackson and Tamari Key, both All-SEC First Team last season.

Before Tennessee, Sanders played four seasons at the University of Iowa as a guard, where she appeared in 63 games.

The Tigers open the 2023-24 season with a home matchup against UMBC on Nov. 6th.
