TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University women's lacrosse team has announced the team captains with the 2024 season right around the corner.
Sullivan started all 18 games last season and finished third on the team in ground balls with 33, registering ten games with multiple ground balls. The Wantagh, New York native ranked fourth on the team last season in caused turnovers with 16. Sullivan totaled four points, scoring a career-high three goals and added 12 draw controls.
Zizakovic was named to the All-Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) First Team last season after leading the Tigers in points with 56 on a career-best 41 goals and 15 assists. She had three six-point games and totaled eight hat tricks. The junior midfielder registered a point in 17 of the 18 games last season. She ranked second on the team in draw controls with 57 and had seven draw controls three times. Zizakovic picked up 22 ground balls and added 11 caused turnovers.
Goodrich led the Tigers and ranked second in the CAA in caused turnovers with 31, including a career-high five caused turnovers against Drexel in the CAA Semifinals. The Chester, Maryland native finished third last season on the team in ground balls with 34, getting a ground ball in 16 of the 18 games. She added 16 draw controls, including a career-best four draw control performance against Stony Brook.
Marshall earned All-CAA First Team honors after accumulating 53 points to rank second on the team last season. The senior midfielder led the Tigers in goals with a career-best 45 goals and tallied nine hat tricks, including a career-best five goals twice against Monmouth and Stony Brook. She finished first on the team last season in draw controls with 72 and registered five or more draw controls six times. Marshall added 20 ground balls and 11 caused turnovers.
The Tigers start their 2024 season on Saturday, Feb.10th at 1 p.m. against Mount St. Mary's at Johnny Unitas® Stadium.
