TOWSON, Md. - The Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) announced its end-of-year honors Wednesday morning. Hannah Lewis was named to the All-CAA First Team, while Valerie Thompson and Ocea Leavy were voted to the All-CAA Second Team.
Hannah Lewis | Attack
Lewis earned All-CAA First Team honors after leading Towson in goals (41) and points (51) this season, including a career-high six goals scored against Monmouth last Saturday - including the overtime game winner. The Bayville, New Jersey native ranks sixth in the CAA in goals per game (2.41) and ninth in points per game (3.00). The redshirt junior finished the year with starting in every regular season game, totaling 12 ground balls, six caused turnovers and three draw controls. Earlier this week, Lewis earned CAA Co-Offensive Player of the Week honors.
Valerie Thompson | Midfielder
Thompson picked up her first All-CAA Second Team recognition after starting in every regular season game for the second consecutive year. The senior ranks third on the team in draw controls (30). Thompson tallied one point or more in 14 of 17 games this season. The Sykesville, Maryland native added 18 goals, seven assists, 15 ground balls and six caused turnovers.
Ocea Leavy | Defender
Leavy was named to the All-CAA Second Team. The senior started in all 17 games this season, ranking fifth on the team in draw controls (18). The Perth, Australia native accumulated five goals, four assists, 16 ground balls and six caused turnovers.
