TOWSON, Md. - Three members of the Towson University women's lacrosse program represented their countries at the 2026 World Lacrosse Championship in Tokyo, Japan from July 24 - August 2.

Senior Ocea Leavy and assistant coach Rebecca Lane represented Australia after earning spots on the national team for the second consecutive World Championship. Lane served as a team captain for the first time while coaching Leavy, whom she mentored throughout her collegiate career. The duo appeared in all six contests, helping Australia secure a sixth-place finish following a narrow 8-7 loss to England in the fifth-place game.

Rising senior Hannah Lewis competed for Puerto Rico in her second appearance with the national team. The Bayville, New Jersey native played in all six games and led Puerto Rico with 14 goals during the tournament. Lewis helped guide Puerto Rico to an eighth-place finish after a 17-11 setback against Japan in the seventh-place game.
