DEDHAM, Mass. – The Towson University Field Hockey team returns to the road for two road games this weekend. The Black & Gold take on Northeastern in conference play on Friday at 3:00 p.mp, before wrapping up the weekend at Sacred Heart on Sunday at 11:00 a.m.
Scouting the Opponents:
- The Northeastern Huskies are 6-6 with a 1-1 record in the Coastal Athletic Association. The Huskies are led by Lauren Rowe and Emmy Stubbs, who both have eight goals on the season.
- The Sacred Heart Pioneers are 4-7 on the season. The reigning NEC champion also holds a win over Georgetown this season.
Climbing the Ladder:
- Fifth year forward Sarah Hatfield added a goal and an assist in the win over Colgate to bring her career tallies to 20 goals and 45 points. Hatfield is the 9th Towson Tiger to score 20 career goals and is tied with Samantha Aljets and Colleen Cahill for 11th in career points.
4X4:
- Sunday's win over Colgate was the Tigers fourth game of the season scoring at least four goals, this is the first season Towson has scored at least four goals in four-or-more games since the 2008 season.
Heck of a Hometown:
- When the Tigers face Northeastern Friday, the one player on the field from Towson, Maryland won't be a Tiger. That player is Northeastern starting goalie Kristi Merashoff.
