WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – The Towson University Field Hockey team is home and away this weekend. The Tigers visit Monmouth in a Coastal Athletic Association match up on Friday at 3:00 p.m., then return home to host Bellarmine Sunday at noon.
 
Scouting the Opponents:

• The Monmouth Hawks are 8-5 on the season with a 1-2 CAA record, the Hawks are coming off at road win at #12 Iowa. Monmouth leads the CAA in goals on the season with 36.
• The Bellarmine Knights are 3-9 on the season so far. The Knights are led by graduate midfielder Anna Crump who has recorded four goals and four assists on the season.

 
Newcomers Showing Out:

• The Tigers have had multiple players deliver strong contributions in their first season with the team. Freshmen Anouk Westerink and Fiene Valkenburg, and transfers Kristin Strijdom and Shannon Quaile are all in the top seven Towson point contributors this season in their first year.
• This trend continued this past weekend when Valkenburg and Quaile scored Towson's two goals against Sacred Heart.

 
Warhawks Reunion:

• Towson's Ava Mowrey, Madisyn Howard, Piper Sullivan, and Monmouth transfer Gabby Bruce as well as Monmouth's Audrey Mullen and Hannah Tromble all played for the Warhawks Field Hockey Club while in high school.
