BALTIMORE, Md. – The Towson University men's and women's swimming and diving teams completed the final day of the Thomas Murphy Invite. The women finished in second place with the men in third place
 
Loyola won on the women's side with 3365 points, the Tigers took second with 2809, UMBC (2178) finished third with Mount Saint Mary's (543) in fourth.
 
Martina Ciriesi was named Female Swimmer of the Meet, and Shannon Parrau was named Female Diver of the Meet.
 
Loyola took first on men's side as well with 3635 points, with UMBC in second with 2380, followed by Towson with 2154, and Mount Saint Mary's (587) in fourth.
 
Day 3 Finals Highlights:
 

• Shannon Parrau finished second in the 1-meter dive with a score of 260.10.
• Sam Tennell took third in the 3-meter dive with a score of 282.80.
• The team of Claire Ryland, Bjartey Gudmundsottir, Addie Scott, and Marissa Kleckner finished second in the 200-free relay with a time of 1:33.40.
• Bridget Thomas (17:02.90) and Danielle McCarthy (17:10.12) took the top two spots in the 1650-free.
• Anthony Mortellite finished second in the 1650-free with a time of 15:47.84.
• Martina Ciriesi won the 200-back with a time of 2:00.02.
• Sean Colson (1:45.10) finished second in the 200-back.
• Tink Tompkins (2:18.60) and Tiffany Matulis (2:21.43) came in second and third respectively in the 200-breast.
• Laura Gaffney (2:03.30) and Sophia Cerimele (2:06.30) took second and third in the 200-fly.
• Gudmundsottir, Kleckner, Summer Bontrager and Ryland finished second in the 400-free relay with a time of 3:25.00.
• The team of Colson, Daniel McLaughlin, Mortellite, and Luke Schwar took second in the 400-free relay with a time of 3:01.71.

 
On Deck:
The Black & Gold have the first Coastal Athletic Association match up of the season next weekend, the Tigers visit Delaware for a dual meet on Saturday, Nov. 2, the meet begins at 11:00 a.m.
