TOWSON, Md. – Towson University swimming & diving assistant coach
Emilie Petit has been promoted to the position of Associate Head Coach of the men's and women's swimming & diving team, Head Coach
Anthony Bruno announced Sunday. Petit will be the first Associate Head Coach in program history.
"I'm incredibly honored to step into this new role as the program's first Associate Head Coach. I want to extend a huge thank you to Coach Tony for his support and trust. He is an amazing mentor, and it is exciting to work alongside someone so dedicated to our team's success," Petit said. "This team means so much to me and I'm committed to pushing us to the next level. I look forward to supporting our athletes both on and off the pool deck and helping them reach their full potential."
Petit has served on the Towson staff for the past two years as an assistant coach and the recruiting coordinator. She previously spent three seasons as an assistant coach at Old Dominion University.
"I am thrilled to be able to promote Emilie to Associate Head Coach for men's and women's swimming and diving. Emilie has taken on more responsibility inside the program the last two season and this promotion acknowledges her commitment and dedication to all team members," Coach Bruno stated. "Emilie is the first Associate Head Coach in program history, I am looking forward to continuing to partner with Emilie to make Towson one of the premier Mid Major Programs along the east coast."
