COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Towson University women's basketball team faced #11 Maryland on Sunday morning in its second top-25 matchup of the non-conference slate. The Tigers (0-4) fell to the Terrapins (5-0), 98-63, at the Xfinity Center in College Park, Md.
 
India Johnston led the field with a season-high 22 points. Aminata Diakite added a season-high 13 points.

• Maryland started the game with an early lead before Khady Leye's lay-in just under two minutes into the game gave the Tigers a 6-5 lead.
• The Terrapins followed with an 11-0 run before Deja Bristol's layup with just over five minutes in the quarter broke the run.
• Diakite and Anaiah Jenkins each had five points for the Tigers in the final five minutes of the quarter as the Terps took a 33-18 lead after ten minutes of play.
• Jenkins and Diakite opened the second quarter with back-to-back buckets.
• Johnston had the Tigers next 10 points of the quarter, with two free throws at 3:54 making it a 48-32 game.
• Towson closed the first half on an 8-2 run to make it 54-40 heading into the break.
• Bristol broke a 12-3 Terrapin run to open the half with a triple at 3:53.
• Johnston and Diakite each closed the quarter with three points.
• Khady Leye broke up a 13-2 Maryland run with 5:42 left in the game.
